Dr Lazarus received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University where he graduated with High Honors in 1989. He went on to graduate from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, and followed up with additional training in Veterinary Internal Medicine, Surgery and Ophthalmology at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
Later, in private practice, he received additional residency training in Veterinary Ophthalmology in Tampa, Florida. In 2002, Dr Lazarus had the unique opportunity to serve as a veterinarian for the 2002 running of the Iditarod in Alaska, overseeing the health and welfare of the dogs under his care.
Dr Lazarus has been a member of the Hillsborough County Veterinary Community for the past 14 years. His new 5000 square foot veterinary hospital boasts advanced medical and surgical treatment and care for dogs, cats, birds and exotic mammals, with a large Luxury Boarding Resort and Doggie Daycare Park / Outdoor Exercise Facility.
