Roanna Sabeh-Azar was born in Toronto, Canada. Since an early age she was placed in a French school and French became her second language. At the age of 16, Spanish became a great interest to her and hence, it was learned; followed by Italian and now she is studying Portuguese and Chinese.

Roanna’s creative spirit was always powerful even as a child. Her energy was always vibrant and strong. She believes that energy should be harnessed and a person should evolve as a spiritual human being. Her countless hours aiding charities and similar organizations remind her everyday how very lucky she is.

After graduating high school with honours, she studied Psychology for one year at Western University. Studies of human behaviour and philosophy are a passion of hers, but of course so were many other things in Life. She went on to graduating with a degree in Hotel & Food and Beverage Management.

Her first business was an import/export company featuring high quality house wares from Mexico selling to the trade and through her own retail store and restaurant. While still running Barroco, she began Neo-Paws™ International, a company dedicated to Safety apparel for dogs inspired by her first dog, Mex, from Mexico!

For the past 20 years, she has diligently worked to make Neo-PawsTM International, the number one apparel company world-wide. She is dedicated to helping pets and their owners live healthier and happier lives. This business is her passion because

it meets all of her demands and allows her to play every day.

Somehow however, life presented a twist and Roanna’s energies were put to use in a different way. Finally another of her life-long desires took shape. She was called and offered a chance at hosting her very own television show called ‘Entrada’, Journies through Latin Americain Cuisine & Culture that now airs on many different channels worldwide.

Neo-PawsTMhowever demanded her full attention but her desire to continue landing new roles in different television shows or producing her own was always prominent and hence Doggie Style TVTM was born.

There is so much available for dogs and their owners these days and this show highlights the best of the best, industry leaders, great places to go, doggie fitness, health & nutrition, sports, products, trade shows, events and so much more!

We hope you enjoy what we bring to your screen and are always open to constructive feedback.

Yours,

Roanna Sabeh-Azar & the DSTV Team!

ANXIETY WRAP® PUTS STRESSED PETS AT EASE

Reading Your Dog’s Body Language

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Pet parents would love to know what their pets are thinking, but since our pets can’t verbally tell us it’s important to understand what their body language is saying. Here are a few ways to read your dog’s body language, and how to interpret what they are trying to tell you.

A dog’s tail - A dog’s tail is used to communicate strong emotions, including happiness, as well as anger and agitation. To accurately get the bigger picture the dog’s wagging or tucked tail is trying to tell you, look at the rest of his body language. If his ears are pinned forward or back, or has stiffened muscles and dilated pupils, these are all signs your dog needs some space.

A dog’s ears - A dog will hold his ears naturally when he is relaxed and comfortable. When he’s alert, he’ll raise them higher on his head and direct them toward whatever is holding his interest. If his ears are pulled back slightly, it’s a signal his intention is friendly. And if your dog’s ears are completely flattened or stuck out to the sides of his head, he’s signaling that he’s frightened or feeling submissive.

A dog’s body - When your dog is scared, he does his best to look small. Often, his body looks hunched, with his tail held low or tucked between his rear legs and his ears flattened back on his skull. His muscles of his body and face will be tense and rigid. He might even cower close to the ground or try to escape.

Some pets fear certain sounds (like thunderstorms or fireworks), being in crowds, or even being left alone. To help ease their various fears, the original, patented Anxiety Wrap gives a calming, hug-like sensation – activating and maintaining key pressure points that better enable pets to relax. Helping your dog keep calm can even prevent behavioral issues. (For additional notes on how the one-of-a-kind product works, click here to see helpful Anxiety Wrap graph and notes.)

According to Dr. Roger Mugford, Pet Psychologist and Founder of The Company of Animals, “Fear and anxiety are at the root of many canine behavioral problems.” Unaddressed, these fears can result in aggressiveness, leash pulling, separation anxiety, excessive barking, and hyperactivity. We’ve been using and recommending the Anxiety Wrap in The Company of Animals’ own British Behaviour Centre for years,” continues Mugford.

A recently published Tufts University Clinical Research Study, titled “The Effectiveness of Anxiety Wrap in the Treatment of Canine Thunderstom Phobia: An Open-Label Trial,” even deemed the product 89 percent effective! The Anxiety Wrap was especially called out as "safe and effective treatment for canine thunderstorm phobia." The study has since been published, and the Anxiety Wrap cited, in such respected journals and resources as The Journal of Veterinary Behavior and ScienceDirect.

The Anxiety Wrap starts at $39.95 and comes in 11 canine sizes – to properly fit each age and breed. There are even calming face wraps for dogs, called Quite Dog®, and specialty made feline Anxiety Wraps, available too.For the full product selection by The Company of Animals, visit www.CompanyofAnimals.us.

The Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation is built of a group of inspired, motivated humanitarians who work tirelessly to fight animal cruelty by educating the public, animal rescue, and finding loving families to give the helpless a second chance at a happy life. Founded by Oscar nominated and renown animal activist Linda Blair to bring the much needed attention to the growing problems related to animal welfare and the work required to stop animal abuse and neglect.

What We Do…

Linda Using the Pet Walker-Plus

LBWF is a unique safe haven for animals providing top-quality, lifelong care to the animals it rescues.

We emphasize proper nutrition, provide first-class veterinary care, comfortable facilities, training, socializing, and of course, an abundance of love.

Using the media as an outlet for education, we hope to raise the level of awareness on important issues such as pet overpopulation and dog fighting, as well as debunking the unfounded, illogical and fear-based arguments that all too often lead to breed-specific bans and the heartbreaking extermination of beautiful animals whose only crime is having been born.

The recent economic recession and financial crisis have resulted in a record number of foreclosures and people aren’t the only ones to suffer in times like these. Homelessness is a harsh reality facing more and more animals, as people heartlessly abandon them or are reluctantly forced to leave them behind at already overcrowded shelters because they can no longer afford to care for them.

Please help us give these loving, loyal and wonderful animals a safe place to live a happy life. There are a variety of ways you can help, from making a tax-deductible cash donation, purchasing something from our CafePress store or bidding on one of Linda’s eBay auction items to volunteering at our facility or becoming a desperately needed foster family for our rescues.

Increasing Our Impact

After 3 long years of searching, the foundation’s journey came full circle with the acquisition of an A2 zoned property in Acton, CA. The property is beautiful and provides a wonderful temporary home to animals that have been through so much.

We’re very proud of how far we’ve come and incredibly thankful for the donations of both money and time from our dedicated supporters, friends and volunteers. Much has been accomplished, but we still have a long way to go!

We are constantly working to construct additional buildings to shelter our rescued animals from high desert winds and cold. We’re also busy installing additional fencing and plumbing, as well as creating new play yards – just to list a few of the ongoing projects that help us meet our animals’ most basic needs.

Always on our shopping list…

  • Wire Crates 42″-48″
  • Chain Link
  • Recycled Plywood
  • Trees for shade and wind protection
  • Dog food
  • Dog Treats
  • Dog Toys
  • Dog Beds
  • Blankets
  • Collars and Leashes
  • Stainless Steel Water and Food Bowls
  • Heavy Duty garbage bags
  • Paper towels

These gift cards can always be put to good use…

  • Home Depot or Lowe’s Gift Cards
  • PetSmart or Petco Gift Cards

Our “wouldn’t it be wonderful” wish list…

  • Cargo Van for transporting animals
  • Energy and Water Efficient Washer (top loading) and Dryer
Looking Into The Future

Ultimately our goal is to build a reliable and smooth-running facility that will allow Linda to focus much of her attention on educating the public about critical issues such as overpopulation, the importance of having pets spayed or neutered, animal abuse, neglect and the plight of woefully misunderstood breeds like American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier – often collectively referred to as “Pit Bulls”.

While our first priority is to provide a loving and safe environment for our rescued animals, fundamentally we hope to have an impact on a much larger and far-reaching scale. Ours is a mission of education that will help people develop the same respect, love and admiration for animals that we have.

Together We CAN Make A Difference!
