Leather cover

If you were to turn on an old transistor radio and tune it to a country station, you might hear legends like Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, and Johnny Cash crooning from the speakers… but newcomer Paul Bogart could just as easily fit alongside that vintage lineup. Though his songs are fresh and he himself is young, he is an old soul with a knack for capturing time-honored traditions and summing up classic sentiments in catchy, three-minute songs. Exuding sincerity and a rare, down-to-earth charm, Paul Bogart is, simply put, the epitome of traditional country music.

Possessing elements of a quippy, good-natured Brad Paisley song along with the boots-and-spurs appeal of a George Strait tune, Bogart’s music additionally radiates authenticity, a core component of country music.

Bogart’s new release, Leather, is the perfect paradigm of that Old West lifestyle that Bogart himself lives and breathes, “This album is about hard work, hustle, and loving the woman God gave you,” he says candidly. “It’s about keeping your head down when you win and crawling back in the saddle when you hit the ground.” Sentiments Bogart knows firsthand, having grown up in north-east Oklahoma to a family of truckers, team ropers and musicians; the title track, “Leather,” hearkens back to those Heartland roots and homegrown work ethic. “I think about my grandparents and how hard they worked to make it,” muses Paul. “It’s given me inspiration and motivation to work hard and never give up on my dreams.” Indeed, Leather taps into the belief that there’s beauty that comes from weathering storms together and seeing tough times through; it’s an anthem for anyone who’s ever pressed on, persevered, or prayed for something better.

Paul’s lead single and video, “All That Cowboy Jazz,” is an infectious western swing song that will have listeners on their feet, boot-scootin’ across the floor in seconds. Co-written with a Hall of Fame radio DJ (WSM’s Bill Whyte) and a world class multi-instrumentalist (Zach Runquist), Bogart lists the let-loose, line-dance-potential number as a personal favorite from the album.

Produced by Sony Nashville recording artist Trent Willmon (Little Big Town’s “Rain on a Tin Roof,” Montgomery Gentry’s “Back When I Knew It All”), Leather was released on September 8th, 2017.

About The Bellamy Brothers:
Howard and David continue to prove that the trail they’ve ridden to fame has been as unique as their music itself—music that is now celebrating 40 years of success. The road that started on the pop music charts in the ‘70’s, took a winding turn into country music in the ‘80’s, paving the way for duos to come, such as Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, and The Judds. “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” originally scrawled on a dinner napkin by David, rocketed them to the top of the country charts the way “Let Your Love Flow,” had done in the pop market just a few years earlier. It proved to be the first of a string of fourteen No. 1 singles in the U.S. alone. They’re the only U.S. country music act who've toured in India, Sri Lanka, New Caledonia and Qatar. The Bellamy Brothers hold the record in both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and the Country Music Association Awards (CMA) for the most duo nominations. Numerous Grammy nods have also been directed toward the brothers. For more information, visit bellamybrothers.com.

Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association all pledge large donations prior to start of telethon
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (December 13, 2016) – Nearly $500,000 of donations already have been committed before the Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit for the My People Fund telethon has even started. The telethon, which will be broadcast on GAC, AXS-TV, RFD and The Heartland Network at 8 p.m. (EST), already has received pledges from Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and the Country Music Association (CMA).

The ACM donated $100,000 to the fund, with Taylor Swift matching the amount, while the CMA donated $125,000 accompanied by a matching donation by East Tennessean Kenny Chesney. Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam will make a special appearance during the telethon, which has grown to include a star-studded lineup of performers and phone bank operators. All of the celebrities are donating their time to help the effort.

“The donations that are already coming in are so special to me,” Dolly Parton explained. “It means there are a lot of people behind us and ready to help us. There is still so much need to support the people of the Smoky Mountains, but thanks to Taylor and Kenny and both the ACM and CMA for gettin’ us started with such huge donations.”

While the telethon is off to a good start, the need for funds is much greater. More than 1300 families have been displaced due to the wildfires which spread across Parton’s home area of Sevier County, Tennessee in late November. The entertainment icon established the Dollywood Foundation My People Fund to provide $1000 each month for six months to every family who lost their primary residence. Currently, the monthly pledge is in excess of $1.3 million each month.

Artists donating their performances to the effort include: Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Hank Williams Jr., Chris Stapleton, Reba McEntire, Alison Krauss, Michael W. Smith, Chris Janson, Big & Rich, LOCASH, Chris Young, Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Cyndi Lauper, Don McLean, Amy Grant, Alabama, Aaron Lewis and Rhonda Vincent.

Although Dolly will be hosting the overall telethon, friends HLN’s Robin Meade, GAC’s Suzanne Alexander and Nan Kelly, The Bobby Bones Show’s Bobby Bones, SiriusXM’s Storme Warren, Crook & Chase hosts Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase, NASH Nights LIVE’s Shaun Parr and Elaina D. Smith, and TuneIn Country Roads’ Kelly Sutton will share hosting duties throughout the 3-hour broadcast. Celebrities donating their time to answer phones include: Paula Deen and her sons Bobby and Jamie, Chrisley Knows Best cast members Todd, Julie and Savannah, Moonshiners’ cast members Mark and Digger, Nashville’s Charles Esten, cast members of Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors, country hit-makers Chris & Morgane Stapleton, Terri Clark, Mark Wills, Lee Greenwood, Larry Gatlin, T.G. Sheppard, Highway 101's Paulette Carlson, John Conlee, Ronnie McDowell, Kristian Bush, Tim Rushlow, T. Graham Brown, Dolly’s nieces Rebecca Seaver and Danielle Parton, bluegrass hitmakers Lorraine Jordan and Darrin Vincent, comedian Henry Cho, KC of KC and the Sunshine Band, hot new country artists Brett Young, Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn, Danielle Bradbury, Lucas Hoge, Denny Strickland, songwriter Becky Hobbs, and members of the Tennessee Titans.

Several other celebrities are sharing special video messages during the telethon including: Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Larry King, Steve Harvey, Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, and Today Show’s Willie Geist.

Smoky Mountains Rise also will be simulcast across multiple radio chains, including iHeart Media's digital and select on-air platforms, Cumulus Media's NASH Nights LIVE, TuneIn's Country Roads channel, RURAL Radio on SiriusXM plus cross-promotion on The Highway, Prime Country, Y2Kountry and The Garth Channel, CBS Radio, ABC Radio Networks, and several other platforms which are set to be announced shortly. All of the artists are donating their performances to help the effort. USAToday.com and USA Today National Networks will live stream the telethon on their affiliate newspaper websites, including all Tennessee newspaper sites Tennessean.com, Knoxnews.com, commercialappeal.com, jacksonsun.com, theleafchronicle.com, dnj.com, and others.

The My People Fund will provide $1000 each month to Sevier County families whose homes are uninhabitable or were completely destroyed in the recent Smoky Mountain wildfires. Any family who lost their primary residence (renters and homeowners) due to the wildfires in Sevier County will be eligible. A pre-application for those affected is available at dollywoodfoundation.org.

During the telethon, viewers will be asked to call 1-866-CARE MORE to donate to the My People Fund.

Anyone who would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to the My People Fund may visit dollywoodfoundation.org. For those wishing to send donations via mail, those contributions should be sent to: My People Fund, c/o Dollywood Foundation, 111 Dollywood Lane, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863.

Please help the Dollywood Foundation share the word about this effort by using the hashtags #MyPeopleFund and #someplacespecial.

ABOUT SOUTHERN HALO

This soulful sister trio hails from the small town of Cleveland, Mississippi and features Natalia, Christina and Hannah Morris. Natalia, 19 years old, is the principal songwriter, guitarist and lead vocalist, while 17-year-old Christina plays drums. Younger sister Hannah, 16, is the group’s bassist. Since landing in the National finals of the 2014 Texaco Country Showdown, these Mississippi Delta natives have worked hard honing their craft. They recorded their first EP with Alabama’s Jeff Cook, and their fall 2015 CD, SOUTHERN HALO, with SESAC’s 2012 Writer of the Year Catt Gravitt (Kelly Clarkson, Jake Owen) and Gerald O’Brien (writer of hits for Martina McBride, Trace Adkins) at the helm. They headlined Sara Evans’ Rock The South Festival in Cullman, Alabama, performed at an elite pre-GRAMMY Awards show on the rooftop terrace of the GRAMMY Museum® at LA Live in Los Angeles and launched Townsquare Media’s “Say It With Pepsi” Concert Series in Illinois.

The Mississippi Delta is revered as the birthplace of the Blues and Rock & Roll. Soon, it will also be recognized as the home of Southern Halo, a soulful sister trio hailing from the small town of Cleveland, Mississippi. Growing up in an area so rich in musical history had its benefits for Natalia, Christina and Hannah Morris: a close-knit family nurtured the girls love of music and community support helped boost the siblings’ confidence. Their first liveperformance was in Cleveland - at the Airport Grocery - when Hannah, the youngest, was just nine years old.

In the years since, Southern Halo has crafted a blend of “new” Country and Classic Country with a dash of Southern Rock to create CPR: Country/Pop/Rock. It’s a youthful, signature sound made immediately recognizable by the sweet sibling harmonies that are fast-becoming their trademark. The girls lay it all out on the line during their high-energy stage shows, honing their chops as openers for top-tier acts Brantley Gilbert, Eric Paslay, Tyler Farr, Randy Houser, John Michael Montgomery, Parmalee, Old Dominion, Jamie Lynn Spears, Craig Campbell, Uncle Kracker, Julie Roberts, American Young and B.B. King.

The stars aligned early for these three sisters: in 2014, Southern Halo made the National finals of the Texaco Country Showdown at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium® and recorded their first EP with Alabama’s Jeff Cook. Since then, they have headlined Sara Evans’ Rock The South Festival in Cullman, Alabama, walked the red carpet at the CMT Music Awards and secured an endorsement from Gibson Guitars. Earlier this year, the trio performed at an elite pre-GRAMMY Awards show on the rooftop terrace of the GRAMMY Museum ® at LA Live in Los Angeles and filmed a series for online distribution. They are featured on RADIO COUNTRY DISNEY and their music video can be seen on CMT, MTV and THE COUNTRY NETWORK. Southern Halo is one of a handful of all-female bands listed in a recent BILLBOARD article highlighting the next hottest Country music

trend.

“We’re still learning and we know it,” admits Natalia, who’s written with Mike Daly (Jason Mraz, Alanis Morissette), SESAC’s 2012 Writer of the Year Catt Gravitt (Kelly Clarkson, Jake Owen) and others. “We’re working hard and having a blast. This is what we all want – and we understand it has to be earned.” At 19, Natalia (pronounced Na ta Lee’ Ya) is the trio’s lead vocalist, primary songwriter, guitarist and principal spokesperson. Although when the sisters are together the words flow quickly from all three.

The music flows as well: their self-titled debut album, co-produced by Catt Gravitt and Gerald O’Brien, was released late last year. The disc is a mix of tempos and attitudes: happiness exudes from the grooves, and even heartache is uplifted by lively rhythmic treatments. MusicRow’s Robert K. Oermann says the sisters “harmonize like angels.” The trio’s current single, “Rewind,” follows the international success of their hypnotically-upbeat Country radio debut, “Little White Dress” (written by N. Morris, Gravitt and O’Brien).

“It’s been kind of insane,” confesses 17-year-old “wild child” drummer Christina. “We play out as much as we can, from coffee bars to big festivals to little listening rooms. Basically, we’re on stage as much as possible, but our biggest thrill to date was playing the Ryman Auditorium.”

For 16-year-old bassist Hannah the road is a way a life she embraces. The laid-back, free-spirited “baby” of the family can’t imagine life without music. “We’re in this together,” she says reflectively. “We don’t attend regular classes; we study intensively online. Everything is geared to give us more time to work on the music.”

No one can say the girls aren’t “working it.” Musical tastes differ – even among sisters. With a range of influences that runs the gamut from Vince Gill and Justin Timberlake (Natalia) to Dave Grohl and Pink (Christina) to Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber (Hannah), the creative forces in play are diverse.

The girls love to play – onstage and off – managing to live a basic teenage “experience.” Time is spent with family and friends and a menagerie that includes horses, dogs, cats, ducks, numerous fish, turtles and a hamster. Natalia enjoys running, while Christina loves to fish and go “mudding.” Hannah is an experienced equestrian who loves Hunter Jumpers. If music were off the table? “Nata” would work in music marketing, “Tinka” would take to outer space as a Cosmologist and Hannah would become a veterinarian.

In the meantime, compromise and balance carry the day – allowing Southern Halo to keep reaching for those perfectly-aligned stars.                                                                 5/29/16

Popular Country Newcomer Alexandra Demetree's Acoustic Music Video,"Outta My Head," Premieres Today On THE BOOT

"Delivering a passionate and aching vocal somewhere between LeAnn Rimes and Kelly Clarkson, Demetree fits right in with today's country radio." -  Music News Miami

"She is an angelic songbird who has mastered her craft ... finding a gem like this is a rarity in any genre." - One Stop Country

Nashville, TN (October 22, 2015) -- Popular Country newcomer Alexandra Demetree's new acoustic music video, "Outta My Head,"premieres today on THE BOOT.  Filmed at a vast, aged warehouse in Nashville's historic Germantown district, the video is stunning in its stark simplicity.  Demetree's emotionally-charged vocal and the song's high-impact lyrics take center stage, while abundant natural daylight, a sense of space and timelessness play supporting roles.  Producer/director Brian Harstine's (Dolly Parton, Ke$ha) minimalistic approach kept the camera focused on Demetree, three supporting musicians (Josh O'Keefe, Jason Roller and Jaran Sorenson), and a few quirky "abandoned" props

Alexandra Demetree "Outta My Head" video

"It was a very straightforward concept," explains Alexandra.  "The entire focus was on showcasing the emotion and musical validity of the song in an organic way."  For Demetree, returning to the basics was an exciting challenge.  "To go back to square one and make an acoustic version of this dynamic, mid-tempo power ballad was just a fantastic experience." The single, produced by Bobby Huff (Reba, 3 Doors Down, Journey, Heart) and written by Mark and Cherie Oakley, is rising on the MusicRow CountryBreakout™ Chart, currentlysitting at # 60.  "Outta My Head" delves into the reminders left behind when a relationship ends:  the photos, the empty space beside the bed and more.  It's a tale that most listeners can relate to, and it follows the petite brunette's three previous successful Country radio releases, including the popular single/video duet of her own composition, "Lay It On Me," with The Bachelorette's Wes Hayden.

Demetree wraps a four-day radio promotion tour of Oklahoma today; the tour will resume in a few weeks.  She continues to work on her upcoming EP.  Fans can learn more about Alexandra from recent features at The Daily CountryMusic News San FranciscoDigital Rodeo and One Stop Country.

ABOUT ALEXANDRA DEMETREE

Alexandra's first performance, at the tender age of two, was singing Christmas carols for her Grandma's bridge group.  Throughout her childhood, she sang in her church choir - in Latin.  Music quickly became Demetree's passion and her life goal - to the extent that this true "Southerner," traveled all the way to Illinois to secure a degree from Northwestern University's prestigious musical theater program.  With musical influences ranging from Motown, Celine Dion, LeAnn Rimes, David Nail, Garth Brooks, Adele and The Eli Young Band, it's no surprise that this native Floridian is an inspiring and energetic performer.  Demetree has entertained crowds at Festivals, Fairs and venues ranging from New York's world-famous Carnegie Hall to stages in Cape Town, South Africa.  She's performed for First Lady Barbara Bush, at Walt Disney World and at the Toyota Gator Bowl.  She's opened for Andy Griggs and toured with singer/actor Wes Hayden.  Alexandra has released three successful Country radio singles to date, including the popular single/video duet of her self-composed, "Lay It On Me," with The Bachelorette's Hayden.  The singer/songwriter is most comfortable wearing jeans and cowboy boots.  In her spare time, she enjoys creating Lebanese dishes, reading and traveling.  Demetree supports The Children's Hospital at Oklahoma University Medical Center and resides in Oklahoma City with her family.
