Dr. Lisa Centonze

Dr. Lisa Centonze is a veterinarian at Hillsborough County Animal Services, one of the largest animal shelters in Florida. Dr. Lisa earned her undergraduate degree in history from Princeton University, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida, where she graduated with honors. She has practiced small animal medicine and surgery in private practice, as co-owner of a house-call practice, and at high volume spay/neuter clinics. She has also worked and volunteered for many humane and animal rescue organizations. Currently she enjoys working as a shelter veterinarian, where she treats many abused and neglected animals, and testifies for abuse cases in court. She is a member of the International Veterinary Forensice Science Association and the Association of Shelter Veterinarians, as well as other national and local veterinary organizations. She also teaches veterinary technology students. In her free time she enjoys running half marathons, travel, vegetarian cooking, and spending time with her husband and cats.
