It started on a skateboard.   When I had the idea to exercise my energetic dog by running him next to my electric-powered longboard on the streets of Chicago, the beginning of a revolution in dog fitness began. However, it didn’t take me long to decide there must be a better way. Fast-forward to the DoggerJogger.
First the backstory:
Every day I’d go out into the world and return home to an enthusiastic greeting from Sedgwick, the black and white dog in many of the photos and videos on  He’d sit by the window for hours wondering when I’d be back to play with him.  My day was ending but from his perspective it was just beginning…So I thought, “How can I meet Sedgwick’s goals of exercise, excitement and FUN while meeting my own goals of getting the dog out in an enjoyable, entertaining and most importantly, EASY way?”  First I tried the skateboard, then the bike and hand-held leash.  Then came the invention of the DoggerJogger!
The breakthrough of connecting the bike dog leash to the bike frame AND the pedal was the absolute key to success.  There are many features of the DoggerJogger included in the patents pending, but the pedal attachment is the cornerstone.  The multi-point attachment to the bike allows a nylon leash to maintain its shape while positioning the dog in the “safety zone” alongside the bike!
Sedgwick literally smiles at me as we cruise the city paths and country backroads because he is doing what he loves. Imagine when you see your dog grinning, too!
I know you and your dog will love the DoggerJogger, I guarantee it!  If you have any doubts or trouble getting going, contact me personally and I will do what I can to help you make your DoggerJogger experience a success.  If it’s not right for you, send it back for a full refund, no problem!
Our mission is simple:  to provide the best DoggerJogger products and service to our customers and the dogs they love.  We take great pride in our company, our commitment to customer service and the products we sell.  Our online store is designed to provide you with a safe and secure environment to browse our product catalog.  Thank you for shopping at
Additional information:
Since introducing the DoggerJogger to the public at the Iowa Pet Expo in October, 2013, DoggerJogger sales have increased at an increasing rate.  The word of mouth publicity has gone viral, the interest is high and dogs everywhere are getting the workout they need in the limited amount of time their owners have.
Currently the DJ is available online only, but DOGR USA LLC, the owner of the DoggerJogger, is preparing for its "retail initiative" by enabling a few test markets around the country this summer.  Full wholesale distribution is slated to gain traction in 2015.
Personal information:
Bill is the happy father of five kids, lives in Chicago, actively coaches multiple sports teams in multiple sports, enjoys playing basketball and most of all riding his bike with his beloved dog, Sedgwick.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - April     23, 2014) -   The Nonhuman Rights Project (NhRP) and its continuing lawsuits seeking legal rights for four chimpanzees are the focus of The New York Times magazine's cover story this Sunday, April 27th. The article by Charles Siebert is already available online at

Siebert followed attorney Steven M. Wise last year as he prepared a series of groundbreaking lawsuits petitioning courts in New York State to recognize Tommy and three other chimpanzees as having the fundamental legal right to bodily liberty via a writ of habeas corpus.

The article describes how Wise gained access to Tommy, who was being held in a dark shed at a used trailer lot. Another chimpanzee was being held at a private home, and two others at a research laboratory.

The lawsuits, which were filed in December 2013, are based on scientific evidence proving that chimpanzees are self-aware and autonomous, and that these plaintiffs should be released to sanctuaries. The cases are currently making their way through the appellate courts. (Details on the current progress of each case can be found on the NhRP website here.)

"We've been working to bring these cases for 25 years," said attorney Wise. "Charles Siebert's article captures the plight of these animals. They have highly complex levels of cognition, but the legal system still regards them as nothing more than people's property. That's what we're working to change."

The Nonhuman Rights Project is currently preparing future lawsuits on behalf of other cognitively complex, autonomous animals - specifically elephants, orcas and dolphins, and other great apes.

Video Op-Doc: Also on The New York Times website is a video by Oscar-winning documentarian D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus tracing the journey of Wise and his team as they prepare the cases.

About the Nonhuman Rights Project: The NhRP is the first and only organization demanding that, based on scientific evidence, courts recognize the entitlement of certain nonhuman animals to such basic rights as bodily liberty.

In a unique twist to the very serious issue of puppy mills in the  United States, two puppy mill survivors, Harley and Teddy, will hit the  road this weekend with a team from National Mill Dog Rescue to rescue  puppy mill dogs. Dogs saving dogs!

It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's two tiny Chihuahuas saving dogs from puppy mills! Once again, two puppy mill survivors, Harley and Teddy, are traveling through the Midwest with 'Harley to the Rescue' to save dogs from puppy mills with National Mill Dog Rescue. They will leave April 26 on yet another rescue trip through the Midwest, planning to save more than 50 dogs.

Harley, a 13 year old Chihuahua and an iconic figure in the world of puppy mill awareness through social media, spent 10 years as a commercial breeder in a puppy mill.  His one-eyed, grizzled image is immediately recognizable, due primarily to the fact he lost an eye being power washed at the puppy mill.  Although suffering with congestive heart failure, he actively uses his Facebook page with 44,000+ followers to spread awareness about the cruel realities of puppy mills and raise funds for non-profit rescue groups.
Teddy, a newcomer to the social media world, lived his first 7 years in a puppy mill and was rescued from his cage a year ago.  As Harley's 'Team Driver', Teddy uses his page with 17,000+ followers to spread puppy mill awareness and share his experiences of learning about life outside the cage. .
'Harley to the Rescue' started out as a campaign to raise the $2,500 needed to fund one rescue of approximately 25-30 dogs.  To date, these two dogs have raised over $150,000 to rescue 265 dogs from the horrific conditions in puppy mills.
Through their social media outlets, they chronicle their journey into the world of puppy mills, all from the perspective of puppy mill survivors. Dogs Saving Dogs!  Follow the mission of these 'caped crusaders' and support their cause!
To learn more:

National Mill Dog Rescue is a Colorado Springs based 501(c)(3) organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes discarded commercial breeding dogs from puppy mills.  NMDR relies on volunteers to care for the dogs, from the moment they are surrendered to the time they are adopted and beyond.  The organization depends on the generosity of the public to provide the high level of care for our dogs and to continue to be able to save them.
National Mill Dog Rescue started with a single sentence in an e-mail that Theresa Strader received: "50 Italian Greyhounds in need."  A large-scale breeding operation, or 'puppy mill' was going out of business and all 561 dogs were going to auction.  One of those dogs was a seven-year-old Italian Greyhound named Lily.  The moment their eyes met through the wire of Lily's tiny cage, Theresa knew her life had changed forever and that this new life would include Lily and a mission to bring about lasting change.
In honor of Lily, National Mill Dog Rescue was established in February 2007 to give a voice to mill dogs across the country.  Since then, NMDR has rescued more than 8,700 puppy mill survivors, all while maintaining a strict no-kill policy. Every single dog that comes through the doors is spayed or neutered and given whatever additional medical care they need - without exception.  They are groomed, many of them for the very first time.  Years of filth and matted fur are removed, allowing the beautiful dog underneath to shine.  Soon they learn about all the simple pleasures that they had never previously known - clean water, toys and treats, a soft bed, and most importantly, the love of a human companion.

Fluffy and Scout are just a lick away from great breath

Dallas, TXTooth to Tail is launching the new pet breath freshener Tooth to Tail Antioxidant Oral Gel. According to the company’s research, nearly one-third of all dog owners admit they avoid cuddling with their four-legged friends because of their smelly breath. What they don't know is that bad breath is just one symptom of trouble in their pet’s mouth, which can include dental disease. If left unchecked, an unhealthy mouth could lead to heart disease and kidney disease and ultimately take years off a pet's life.
Russell Moon, CEO of Tooth to Tail stated: "After three years of scientific research and clinical trials conducted by the country's top veterinary and human dentists, the findings indicated that Tooth to Tail is the only breath freshener on the market to contain clinically proven antioxidant technology.  It contains the essential oils menthol and thymol plus polyphenolic antioxidants that neutralize volatile sulfur compounds (VSC), the root cause of bad breath.”
Studies have shown that bacteria and enzymes, the main culprits in pets' mouths, break down food particles, oral cells and other proteins. This breakdown releases volatile sulfur compounds. The sulfur in VSC is the same formulation that causes the stinky smell in rotten eggs, skunk spray and even intestinal gas.
The gel comes with a stick applicator.  To use, simply place a small amount of the tasty gel on the applicator and let your pet lick it off.   The gel works with the cells in the pet's saliva to create fresh breath and better oral hygiene.  No toothbrush is needed!
The Secret Antioxidant Combination
  • Pure polyphenols derived from natural plant sources.
  • The polyphenols phloretin and ferulic acid are powerful antioxidants that work together in synergy.
  • Antioxidants and essential oils neutralize volatile VSC that cause foul breath odor.
These unique antioxidants adhere to oral tissue to keep combating VSC, unlike mass market brands like chew treats and water-based fresheners that only mask bad breath. Tooth to Tail Antioxidant Oral Gel has unique antioxidants that work in concert with naturally occurring salivary antioxidants.
In a clinical study, veterinarians found that 100% of the subject dogs had improved breath using Tooth To Tail Antioxidant Oral Gel and eight out of ten owners reported reduced bad breath within days.
About Tooth to Tail
