Pratt Institute Student Jenna Chi's Work Chosen as Dog Show Poster

New York, N.Y. - The Westminster Kennel Club, partnering for the first time with Pratt Institute for its annual art contest, is pleased to announce that the winning graphic design "German Shepherd" belongs to student Jenna Chi. The contest was open to students and alumni of the Pratt Institute. Entrants were asked to submit a graphic design to commemorate the 142nd Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show held from Feb. 12 - 13, 2018.

Chi, of Brooklyn, New York, was born and raised in Taiwan, Taipei. Chi knew since she was 5-years-old that she wanted to be an artist. She made her way to New York City to pursue an art education and is currently a junior at Pratt Institute pursuing a communication design major with a concentration in graphic design. Her winning idea was to re-create the concept of putting main characters on a movie poster. She selected photos from different breeds and sports to represent the diversity of canines that attend the event. Chi's winning graphic design will become the commemorative poster and Official Program cover and will join other finalists' works on a set of notecards. Her work can be found at Jennachidesign.com.
